Default Increasing Character Lvl beyond 20

I am new to GW and was wondering if there are any plans on increasing the lvl cap from 20 to something higher? Do you guys like the lvl capped at 20?

Yeah really old discussion. And it will probably never happen (never say never but its extremely unlikly they'll ever change it).

And lvl cap 20 is great. We dont want GW 2 become a new WoW, where its all 'bout leveling and items and not 'bout skill.

Btw this topic is prob. gonna be closed as soon as a mod sees it

Level cap probably won't ever be raised. Titles are the way to advance your character after 20.

It's not old to new players, so be nice!

Life starts at level 20 in GW. You're dealing at that point with finishing up getting skills and items to hone your builds (yes builds - for different situations). The challenge doesn't end there either, as your not finished with the story line and there are quite a few new challenges for the level 20 to tackle.

If you dont me asking, how long have you been playing to say your new to GWs?

I ask because if your relatively new and either havent reached lvl20 yet or you've only just reached it, then why are you bothered if it goes higher?

It's capped at lvl20, to incourage people to focus more on skill and ability.

If we had lvl30s and 40s running around, then all people would be more bothered about being higher then the guy next to them. Skill and ability would go out the window, in the race to gain experience.

By all rights, alot of the longer playing characters like myself would be at about lvl30+ by now anyway, had they lvl increase continued.

Its actually better because it allows you to stop worrying about lvl once you reach 20 and start focusing on titles and missions and quests and collecting items and skills.

once you hit 20 and have gained both your 15 point quests after ascension, it's entirely down to your builds (skillsets) and knowledge of their use, and ability to play as a team that matters.

Will anet change this? They have categorically stated 'NO', it's the core of guildwars balance.

Do i like it? I love it, as do most people.

Knowing Anet I'm not suprised if some year they desire increase level cap after they promised not to do so.
